Jess Miller

associate pastor of children

I am born and raised in Adelaide. I grew up in the North-Eastern suburbs of Adelaide and attended an AOG church with my family. When I was 8 years old, we moved house and started going to a local Baptist church. It was here that I began serving in children’s ministry and felt a call to vocational ministry.

I have always known God and believed in Him. I was around the age of 5 when I decided to follow Jesus for myself. This has been a decision that I have been very willing to take responsibility for as I have moved through youth and into adult life. I have been through different seasons in my walk with God, but I am thankful that God continues to challenge me and grow me and draw me closer to Himself.

It was around the age of 12 when I first felt a call to vocational children’s ministry. I have always loved working with children and knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I started helping in children’s ministry and gradually was given more responsibly and leadership. I was given the opportunity to do a Ministry Internship and started studying part-time at Tabor and recently completed my Bachelor of Ministry. Before coming to AACC, I was the Children’s Pastor at Parkside Baptist Church for 3 ½ years.

I believe that we do not have to wait until we are older to be able to understand and live out our faith. I am passionate about seeing children engaging with the Bible and discovering Jesus for themselves. I believe God can use and encounter children in a special and powerful way.

When I am not at work I enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends, doing life together over a mug of good hot coffee.
